Over the past two decades, the world of Periodontology and Implantology has undergone incredible clinical and scientific development. Numerous surgical approaches have been refined to improve clinical performance and tested in randomized trials, demonstrating efficacy and generalizability.
Perio Esthetics is a journey through the incredible evolution of modern periodontal and peri-implant plastic-reconstructive surgery. The book offers to the reader a perspective on treatments such as surgery for single and multiple gingival recessions, gummy smile surgery, prosthetic cases in the esthetic zone, regenerative periodontal surgery and gingival augmentation around teeth as well as different soft tissue harvesting procedures. In terms of peri-implant surgery, the text analyzes implant placement procedures in the esthetic zone, hard tissue reconstruction techniques such as horizontal and vertical guided bone regeneration and various peri-implant soft tissue reconstruction procedures.
A guided journey featuring over 2,000 surgical images and 34 videos shot under an operating microscope; offering to students, clinicians, specialists, or simply enthusiasts a unique vision on esthetic-reconstructive surgeries that are today critical for quality treatments and patient satisfaction.
